Besides being the first DAO to spin out of MetaGame, Quest Chains are this neat tool for creating quest sequences or questlines.
The whole idea started when we figured it's about time we start moving MetaGame’s onboarding quests out of Notion into an interface of its own.
Why did we want to do that, you may ask? Umm… Because Notion is just not the right UI for quests on a gamified platform. Not convinced? Please do go check out one of the questlines we currently have on there for onboarding people.
Now, there will be a nice interface for publishing & completing these onboarding paths where people submit proofs of completion, quest givers review & accept them and adventurers are rewarded cool 3D NFTs & a safe passage - to special discord channels, roles, off-chain voting or whatever other rights you attach to the NFT 👀
So, what can you do with Quest Chains? 🤔
Well, the original usecase were onboarding paths for DAO contributors but Quest Chains can go way beyond that.

UI for Playbooks (guides for doing things)
Skill learning paths (courses) with skill attestation NFTs

What’s Different?
First thing vid & dan did right was figure out MetaGame wasn’t the only DAO with onboarding problems that could benefit from using this.
The second thing they did right was realize nobody wants yet another tool-website/platform; so they’re building an SDK for others to integrate Quest Chains directly into their websites.
The project is designed to be decentralised by harnessing the power of IPFS and The Graph protocol.

The Onboarding Game 👀
Aaand its almost done!
The onboarding game is a text-based choose-your-own adventure that will help us filter people through MetaGame & into the wider Web3, Quest Chains or whatever other place it takes them 👀
Main point was really to make the understanding of MetaGame, Web3 as well as finding the things you need, a bit more engaging than simply reading an article.
Without further ado, go beta test it!

dysbulic and tenfinney spent a bunch of time on the ’Chievmints app, switching over to Vite to make the token-specific pages load properly and pulling an epic session to get it building right
Alec flagged an issue with the Infura requests failing, dan13ram came through with the fix
dysbulic, luxumbra, and peth helped HHH work through a mini-quest that added a new slide (and more rainbow text) to the MetaGame landing page 🌈
