Setting the record straight
Intercon - itâs been a long time, but the Initiatives plugin for Sourcecred is finally ready and we imported past work. If youâre already registered on the forums, you should be able to see your name updated with XP here.
Manu, Drew, DeFi Dude & whoever else - if youâre reading this, drop in the forums.
If you joined in the past ~2-3 months & think sourcecred hasnât registered your contribution properly - which is very possible - just let us know :)
If youâre just wondering WTF is InterCon, read this.
MetaGame DAO, XP & Seeds
With the Initiatives plugin here, weâve started importing all historical data on contributions into SourceCred. Itâs tricky because original contributions were mostly based on hours of contributing, while in SoureCred itâs based on long term impact.
Weâll be talking to everyone on Discord to help make this transition as smooth & fair to past & future contributors as possible.
Once weâre sure everyone is OK with the state of things (the XP leaderboard), weâll start minting Seeds. Meanwhile, weâll launch the new MetaGame DAO and probably the Seed market on Uniswap, using the money we raised on Gitcoin.
There will be a whole blog post on the new XP system, Seeds, SourceCred, Aragon, how they interact and all of that - soon.
Profiles
It wasnât easy, but looks like Hammad & Paco are done with the tricky back-end part of connecting Forum, Discord & Github accounts into a single identity, then Saimano took it a step further by hooking it up to a testing front-end based on some of the sketches and inspiration from this âProfolioâ thread.
This is what it currently looks like:

MetaRadio
The first episode of the MetaPerspective podcast is live, more to follow soon.
Instead of launching 3 different podcasts at the same time - which would be crazy even for us - weâll just have 3 different types of episodes to begin with.
MetaPerspective - Interviewing people from the wider crypto & outside crypto space about the state of the world, what to build, values, goals and all of that.
Humans of MetaGame - Interviewing the people of MetaGame talking about their paths, successes, failures, ambitions & that sort of thing.
MetAligned? - Interviewing leaders that seem aligned with the MetaManifesto & figuring out how to build the future together.
Our hope is for MetaRadio to be a podcasting & music network of MetaGame. We already have a few people running their own podcasts and making music, weâll see what comes out of that. đ¤ˇââď¸

Also reach out to us if you want to interview someone, suggest who we should interview next or just help around - we could use a bit of help.
NPCs (bots)
As part of our Dragon Quest bounties, Mark built us our first NPC - yay! Right now itâs used for completing quests & automagically asigning roles on Discord. It doesnât do much more than that, but we do expect greater things from it in the future.
Things like adjusting Discord roles based on SourceCred ranking, bringing up useful linkes and all of those niceties.
If you have some ideas or want to take it from here, jump in this thread.
MetaGame App/InterState
Interspace is nice and it will continue to live on itâs own as a virtual conferencing tool, but we need to take a step further to bring the vision of MetaGame closer to reality.
This unfortunately means taking a step back & starting from scratch, which explains why there was no progress done on the current version recently.
Weâll be rebuilding it in a proper game engine, likely based on Excalibur.js or Hex Engine but open for debate.
