Abstract
We’re amidst the regular summer slowdown with people on holidays and what-not!
But the work hasn’t stopped, oh no!
The UX Squad plows on with a bunch of behind-the-scenes work while the MetaFest crew keeps on preparing for the big day!
Oh yes, MetaFest! Just over a month to go now. Check out all the event information on the MetaFest website

🤝🏽 Community
In June we had a slimmed-down schedule of community calls & Twitter hangouts. In fact - we’ll be pausing the community calls until after MetaFest 👀
Community calls
June 9: Brandon Norgaard talked about Metacrisis and the Enlightened Worldview Project; and Daniel Gortz and Cory Barker gave us the … err … big picture on Big Picture Frameworks. (Get a replay on Youtube)
June 2: NaxoXT17 from Anzairu talked about weather systems decentralization. (Listen to it on Youtube)
Twitter hangouts 🤙
June 22: On Kickstarting Regenaissance, with Manu Alzuru, Gonman, and Antonio Paglino (replay on Twitter)
June 9: Building Regenerative Villages, with Sam of OASA, Laura of Liminal Village, and Mike of FutureThinkers. (Replay on Twitter)
Plus
joseacabrerav kept Bard’s Night going (with assists from Fellenz and b0gie), and helped gather more people to do the community survey
dysbulic helped the MG Mochi teams avoid slashes and blocks
ApeironCreations stepped in to host a community call
Musashi13 kept the HaloFi pool savings on track, and now we’re voting on how to use the gainz to help MetaGame members get to MetaFest
Props to Musashi13, joseacabrerav, peth, vanessagil, Mr Remington Steele Jr (FKA b0gie), ApeIronCreations and the rest of the Community crew for keeping things running.
📱 Technology
You’ll soon start seeing some upgrades to the MetaGame.wtf website, as the behind-the-scenes work comes out of the design-&-dev process.
The UX Squad (Dave, peth, Sero, vid) got busy on improvements to the website nav and the landing page, with work done on more custom blocks for your MyMeta profile
For example, the menu has seen a massive cleanup & simplification - soon to get rid of all the drop downs for a simplified overview of what matters.
Also …
HHH worked with Dave and peth on upgrades to the Quests section of the site
peth gathered testimonials & Dave designed this brand new section
Alec reviewed PRs from HHH and Sero, kept working on the composeDB switch, and squashed some frontend bugs
Polimyl minted new seeds to cover the next distribution, cleaned up the dev zone, and helped with options and set up for more cost-effective hosting
Sero helped dysbulic with the calcs for Seed disbursals
🍰 Content
🌱🌱🌱 Fresh content from the MetaGame Media Machine 🌱🌱🌱

🌱 Growth
As Growth Champ Rika steps down at the end of the season, let’s take a look back at some of her highlights:
Updated and organized the Content board on DeWork to accurately reflect the tasks and activities across MetaGame’s content channels: podcast, newsletter, playbooks, Youtube, Lens, Twitter
Wrote a detailed outline for a post on the MyMeta & Ceramic/ComposeDB integration and had several calls with the Ceramic team to discuss the grant payout, partnerships, and product strategy for MyMeta on Ceramic.
Created a Dive Into Decentralization Quest Chain using the DAO Research Collective’s peer-reviewed paper on Decentralization.
Wrote a sample business model strategy that discusses how MetaGame can start to generate revenue by productizing its services.
Met with M&A and legal professionals to discuss creating a legal entity for MetaGame & a strategy for legal structuring and risk management.
Coordinated the testing of Praise (a contributor recognition tool) and oversaw the creation of an internal playbook for the tool
Appreciation to Rika for the hard work! 💐💐💐
As usual, peth had a full schedule—here’s a sample:
Consolidated all the Coordinape rings to cut down on unnecessary work
Set up new Notion pages for the Raids and Quests boards
Hosted the latest Seasoning and the wrote the latest State of MetaGame post
Hosted the Octagon calls
Appeared on the FutureThinkers/Portal DAO community call to talk about MetaGame
Cleaned up the Bridgebuilding board
Brought on Jeremy Akers into MetaGame as an advisor
And …
Musashi13 jumped on public calls and shows to promote MetaGame
Promo superstar vanessagil kept the MetaGame Twitter and Lens accounts up to date with all the happenings 🐣
🤑 Seed Distribution
Given we’ve massively simplified the Seed allocation & distribution system, it should be on schedule & we’ll be attempting to include it in these monthly newsletters.
In this sheet, you can see exactly how many Seeds we’ve distributed through Coordinape this month. With the current price of $2.5, this totals ~$3750 👀
🖼️ Chainlog NFT Mints
As you know, Seeds can only be minted for work contributions.
The idea is - instead of patrons just buying Seeds from players, what if they also got the monthly chainlog NFT or a fraction of it, tying Seeds directly to contributions 🤔
As a patron, you would get:
Seeds (as usual)
Monthly Chainlog NFT (list of contributions equivalent to the value of Seeds)
We figured this would make it more meaningful - as patrons could not only say “I support MetaGame by buying Seeds” but “I support MetaGame by buying Seeds & these specific contributions” or “I patron’d these specific features”.
⚔️ MetaAlliance
The bits here in the MetaAlliance section come from a curated Twitter list. How does your org get on the list (and maybe into this newsletter)? You start by joining MetaGame as a Guild.
Congrats to our friend Jessica Zartler for having her post published on Hackernoon!
A larp, memetic-inspired cybernetics demonstration, art installation and R&D project that acts as critique & beacon for #Web3 (and makes you LOL) - Lamp DAO is on a mission: Build a DAO that can collectively control the brightness and hue of a lamp.
Project’s creators poke fun not only at the crypto space’s inability to create the deep systemic shifts needed to tackle our planet’s most wicked problems, but ironically, what started as a meme - may actually hold promise for that bigger change.

The Liminal Web: Mapping An Emergent Subculture Of Sensemakers, Meta-Theorists & Systems Poets
Wait, WTF is The Liminal Web?
The Liminal Web is a subculture or memetic ecosystem of thinkers, theorists & content creators who share similar perspectives on the world. The term “liminal” is used to describe the space between boundaries or thresholds, reflecting the subculture's focus on transitioning from old to new ways of thinking & creating a regenerative culture.
