Following up on last week’s interview with Kevin, we started brainstorming on possible ways to collaborate. Something interesting might be brewing between Gitcoin & MetaGame 🙃
Exciting news about the podcast itself coming in the next few days as well. The upcoming episode with Magenta of Bloom Network should air tomorrow, but the episode itself is kind of a beginning 👀
Jason Yin translates the wiki to Mandarin and kicks-off MetaGame China then brings in a bunch of students & teachers with whom he is building a college for entrepreneurs in Beijing - hoping to integrate learnings from MetaGame 😱
The MyMeta funding proposal to the MetaCartel was a success! 💸 We’ll soon start using those funds to buy back Seeds from the builders and adding them to the liquidity pool! Good progress made on profiles themself.
Some of the notables reactivating or joining are Luke of 1Hive as a Patron, Vanmoortel as both a Patron & an Inner Circle player & Alec the latest high skill builders but also a bunch of old hodlors checking-in & adding liquidity.
MetaGame got listed on Coingecko & Seeds had their first pump. 🤩 Currently sitting at $22, up from $18 yesterday, up from $9 on Wednesday, up from $6 since the pool launch - not bad.

Finally, as you might already be aware, Dunbar’s limit on Players was hit a while ago and we’ve been regularly cleaning the membership…
So far we’ve only kicked out ~20/150 people, but we’re currently 10 members over the cap due to the MetaGame China players & the waitlist has gotten significantly longer yesterday. Expect the purges to accelerate. 😬
🌱 The Seed Market
We launched the pool 2 weeks ago and my gameplan for the next few weeks was to get all the Seed whales to add their Seeds to the liquidity pool & all the inactive players to get active or buy Seeds and change their status from Players to Patrons.
Last week, I wanted to give it a bit of time. The new Seed batch minting was imminent and since there was a bit of a backlog with Seeds, I didn’t want the old Seed earners to dump on the new buyers and liquidity providers…

Turns out nobody is selling lol.
Ok, so time to start pinging everyone to add to the liquidity pool!
Done.
All of the sudden, I start getting messages: “Seeds pumping, +110% now wtf”. 🙈
As tokens dump after a pump, I started messaging everyone again, telling them “wait, wait, wait, don’t add liquidity now - not safu!”
Today, I see the price of Seeds cool off from that $18 ath back to $14. Thinking it probably won’t dump much further because Seeds were fairly undervalued before (~$100k marketcap before the pump),
I start messaging people again: “ok, should be much safer to add liquidity now”.
5 minutes later, Seeds pumping back from $14 to a new ath - $23.
Wait, wait, wait! Don’t add liquidity yet if you haven’t already! - peth, again.

I’m not sure what the right course of action here is tbh.
On one hand, there’s a bunch of Seeds currently in the hands of the people who, presumably, aren’t value-aligned with MetaGame and will look for an opportunity to sell what they bought during this pump.
On the other hand, there’s a lot in the pipeline 🤷♂️
If you’re in it for the long haul and can stomach potential impermanent loss, you should be able to profit from LPing no matter what happens in the next few days. The trading fee is 4% so even short term profits could be decent - not to mention there will probably be a time bonus on Trees for those who planted & watered their Seeds early. 👀
Idk. It’s a high-risk, high-reward sort of situation as it usually is in this crypto game, so do what thou wilt & don’t go crazy like Griff.

Anyhow, you can probably imagine a lot more people applied to join MetaGame after yesterday & today. As mentioned already, we’re way beyond the cap which means that somewhere between 30-50 of the current 150 players will be… Well, purged. 😬
For all of those who only recently bought and fall under the “randoms who buy coingecko listing pumps”, I hope that you will take your time to become members of the community 🙃.

🕵️ Secure The Forums - Its time to make the forums private to the Players & Patrons of MetaGame. We need someone to implement this filter.
🏛️ Tread The Forums - Forums are a crucial place for curating useful information but currently still underpopulated. Go and post something useful or reply to some threads - eg. one of mZ’s proposals.
🚨 Speak up! - We need more people suggesting improvements & speaking up for what sucks in MetaGame. Do that in the #🚨-issues-n-ideas channel.
💩 Don Dump - You’ve been holding Seeds through this x3 pump and you have no intention of selling any time soon? That alone is worth some recognition.
🏥 Help Others - Go help someone! May be a fellow metagamer or it maybe a a fellow stranger - any philantropic or ecological cause out there.
