The need for cat herding, the ungrateful admin overheads & the lack of funding led to burnouts. Misaligned managers, people being too nice or too not-nice, combined with infinite noise, led to treasury drains etc. etc. etc.

You could argue humans will still be needed to do IRL networking & bizdev, but AI agents will be networking 0/24, always scanning for 3,3s with other agents, sharing offers & needs in an endless web of opportunities for 1+1=3.
They‘ll be discussing proposals and slinging bounties faster than you can read.
Personal DAOs
Don‘t worry - everyone will have one, or a few! In fact, every person will be kind of a DAO with their own legal entity.
Some will have their crews of bots & humans in full autonomy mode, some will have them on "sign approvals" - but the economic & legal system will be fully integrated into the internet, and as autonomous as we want it.
Autonomous Memes
The real breakthrough are Autonomous Memes:
In Web2, memes can meme.
In Web3 x AI, memes can form capital & build.
Anyone can spin up any idea or cause, and the thing can start snowballing economic power as it rolls through eyeballs.
Agents & humans can collaborate to build up the meme itself - The Manifesto - the origin prompt for summoning The Executive AI.
The best part? For the first time in history, the incentives of management will be fully aligned with the mission itself.
Killing principal-agent problems & Moloch
The executive agent won‘t have the human personal incentive to maximize its own separate wellbeing - their wellbeing literally is the stated mission, it‘s their whole identity & reason for being.
Think about it!
No more bullshit "mission statements" that go down the drain when management level decides to maximize profit for themselves, or are simply legally obligated to maximize profit for shareholders.
We will have a massive resurgence of Meme Driven Development.
And Moloch doesn‘t exist, because all of the relationships between DAOs are secured by staking, escrow contracts etc.
So…
AI agents will lead to proliferation of DAOs. Vitalik actually predicted this way back when he wrote the initial post defining DAOs, in 2014 🤯👇
